CBA announced one of the largest single gifts in its history on Tuesday, December 21 at 9:30 am in the Lynch Gymnasium at the school’s annual Christmas assembly from Mr. Daniel Byrne ’70. CBA will use this gift to renovate the current LGI space to construct a 200-250 seat flexible performing arts space. The $1M gift will fund a transformational project on the CBA campus that will benefit EVERY CBA student.  

With a budget of $1.75 million, we will need additional funding to complete this worthwhile project. This year’s auction will feature the “Raise Your Paddle” for donations directed to the Performing Arts project. We have an anonymous donor willing to match up to $50,000 of “Raise Your Paddle” contributions.  

This transformative opportunity will provide the following:

•  A dedicated performing arts facility
• Such a space would “complete” the campus and would serve a broader spectrum of students – both current and future
• Creative use of space for cross-curricular endeavors
• A budget of $1 Million Plus would create a home for performing artists at CBA by creatively remodeling the large group instruction room into a “black box” type theater
• Ability to practice and perform in the same venue
• Opportunity for student involvement in sound, lighting, staging, and set construction
